Music for weekend #1 featured Europa. Specializing in European folk music these guys had everyone's toes tapping until they couldn't help but get out on the dance floor. They played Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. Check out the band and their music at: http://www.theeuropaband.com/
Music for the second weekend, we had the Western Senators returning for more rollicking polkas, oom-pah and western swing from our Canadian neighbors. The Flathead Valley's own Bavarian Echoes played each Saturday afternoon of Oktoberfest. They know how to get Oktoberfest warmed up with their great Oom-pahs and Polkas and always blow the crowd away with their authentic alpine horns.
Those beers need something to wash down! The folks at Piggyback BBQ were back again with delicious German favorites including bratwursts made locally by Lower Valley Processing. The 2016 menu featured:
1/2 a savory rubbed rotisserie roasted chicken - a German Oktoberfest tradition!
Locally handmade Flathead raised Elk, German & traditional beer style bratwursts platter.
Authentic German style brined and smoked pork loin platter.
Authentic German style pot roast platter made with ginger snaps.
All platters served with sauerkraut, sweet & sour kraut, sauteed apples & German potato salad
